Aloof, dick-head, indifferent, uncaring, cold, and a total heart throb. These are only some of the words that have been used to describe one Uchiha Saskuke, son of the ex-police chief of Konoha. He keeps himself emotionally distant from people since he belives true connections with people are only weights that will eventually bring him down in his pursuit to ultimate glory. Just what glory is that? He isn't exactly one to spell it out to people, and if you did ask he'd simply scoff and walk away. Course, that his his initial reaction to just about any sort of verbal communication outside of teachers and people of respect. Friends? What friends?

Despite being the apple of many young woman's eyes, Sasuke hasn't allowed this to get to his head. He hasn't got a big ego through their praising, if anything he's more annoyed by the attention then adore it. He knows he's handsome, he knows he's smart. He knows many other young men want to be him because of either his looks or his brains (or his money), and he knows even more many young women want to be WITH him because of one of, if not all three, of these things. But as mentioned, Sasuke has not allowed these sorts of attentions make him into a self absorbed egotistical ass. Sure, he's still an ass, but what can you do?

» Story of a Boy

Young Sasuke was born into a family of privilege. For many generations the Uchiha's have been upholding the law in Sasuke. Their family history states that they were the first policemen to watch over the town back in its fledgling days. It is from that history which Sasuke comes from, law flows through his blood as much as his family blood does. He was the youngest son of his parents; forever overshadowed by his older brother Itachi who could do absolutely any and everything he attempted. Sasuke watched his father praise his eldest son, yet shun him, despite how hard Sasuke tried to get just a slither of that affection from the man.

Even with a mother's love, a young boy needed his father's approval.

Sadly just when it felt like his father was beginning to notice him, tragedy struck. Fire ripped through the Uchiha clan's almost ancient family lands, and given it was the dry season many died be it by fire, or smoke inhalation. The cause was found to be a heater left on by Itachi, who was ultimately blamed for the death of pretty much the entire family. Traumatized by these events, the young Sasuke withdrew into himself. The once happy, hopeful young man had been forever changed by the harsh cruelties of his life.

The two brothers stayed together either way, since law dictates they would. They were ushered to their last legal guardian, Madara, who raised them as his own and did his best to deal with the brothers problems. But Sasuke hated his brother now, and there was very little to change his mind no matte what they tried.

Sasuke went through high school easily enough. He had his fair share of admirers in the girls, and the loathers in the boys. The young man was a genius, scoring A+'s as if he were shooting fish in a barrel. This easily won him a place in Sarutobi University where he studies under Law, as well as Forensics. If, in the slightest chance, that his bid to become a lawyer falls through he would happily take up a place in the labs in a police station. To be alone with his blood splatters and his materials, to simply work his life away unaffected and untouched by civilization.

But nothing ever goes according to plan now, does it?
